En el 59 creo que nominaron a la primera mujer, Sylvia Fine , o por lo menos no me suena que haya salido otra antes, corregidme si me equivoco, por la música y la letra de "The Five Pennies". Sylvia Fine era la mujer de Danny Kaye. Todo quedaba en casa.

A mi también me encanta 'All the Way' y la película me sorprendió muy gratamente para ser tan desconocida.

Edito: acabo de ver que, como letrista, Sylvia Fine había sido nominada con 'The Moon Is Blue' unos años antes .

Creo que sí que tiene hilo, o por lo menos hemos hablado mucho de sus películas, pero como algunas somos un poco charlatanas aprovechamos cualquier momento para hablar de lo que nos gusta jejejeje

Posiblemente lo comentásemos en el hilo de Fred Astaire con los trivia de Gudula.

Estas cuatro primeras décadas me chiflan. Sé que mi interés a partir de los 70 va a decaer un poco. Conozco los canciones más famosas y algunas me pueden gustar pero no es lo mismo para mí. Estos primeros años no veo grandes injusticias, casi todas me gustan, y tanto varias de las ganadoras como muchas de las candidatas han pasado a la historia. Tal vez lo único que me sorprende es que Cole Porter nunca se llevase el Oscar de un total de 4 nominaciones.

Descubrir esa película con Jackie Gleason me ha hecho acordarme que tenía pendiente otra de él: 'Gigot' dirigida por Gene Kelly.
